Christopher Columbus

Christopher Columbus was an Italian explorer born in 1451. In his lifetime, he went on four voyages funded by the catholic monarchs of Spain. His mission for his first voyage was to spread his religion across the world. He was a bookworm as a child and loved reading the works of Marco Polo. On his first journey, he discovered America. Just kidding! But he did discover a Columbian Island and he named it San Salvador. The natives were very friendly and offered him food and shelter for one night. After he left, Cristopher Columbus went to three other islands. The third one was not as friendly as all the other ones. Therefore, they waged a war. Cristopher made it out alive and sailed back to Spain where his funding was coming from. Christopher Columbus passed on May 20th 1506.
