A Christmas Carol is a story about a Christmas grouch who hated this holiday with all of His gut. The grouch’s name is Ebenezer Scrooge, but most people call him Scrooge for short. He was a tax collector cared none for the poor, homeless, and the people lesser of him. Even his own assistant, Bob Chrachet. On one Christmas Eve, scrooge’s dead business partner Jacob Marley rose from the dead and told Scrooge would be meeting with three ghosts that represent past, present, and future. The first ghost showed Scrooge all of his past Christmases that were mostly happy. The second ghost showed him the cheer that was spreading throughout the town on that very day, and the last ghost showed him what a dim future his poor behavior caused. No one was happy, his assistant’s youngest son had died because they couldn’t pay the hospital bill, and people were “happy” that he was gone. The next morning, Christmas day, he changed his ways and gave the people of the town better tax refunds and he raised Bob’s salary. All of the town loved him and he died a happy, peaceful death. Kindness gets you far in life!
