Let’s say that one day

You were told that you were going to fly

And you were to fly in your favorite play

You felt like you were going to cry

When you got to the stage

There were noobs at the controls

You felt that you were underage

But they made sure that there was no room to stroll

When you finally took off

All of the people looked like dots

The

re was definitely no loss

In having a lot of fun atop

When it was time to real you in

You felt something new

It was a feeling so genuine

That it couldn’t subdue

When the next practice began

You saw your friends walking up walls

You couldn’t wait to feel so grand

And you couldn’t wait to see the people below so small.

By the time the show rolled around

And it was time for you to fly

When you were getting ready on the ground

You felt that same feeling multiply

It was because there was an audience

And everyone was applauding

It felt like they were throwing sixpence

And even the cast was watching

When you finally flew over the crowd

Everyone went wild

The cast was singing so loud

The reaction wasn’t very mild

When the show’s run was over

And you had to say goodbyes

You felt you had lost your lucky four leaf clover

And you ran away and cried

You cried so hard

And you needed everyone’s hugs

You felt like you had broken your heart

Your flower of happiness turned into a shrub

And that is the story of how I got to fly

Even if the joy was gone for a second

You shouldn’t just go home and cry

Just be glad that it happened
